Foersteri Naiskammerkoorile (FKPS) pandi alus 1975. aastal Prahas.
FKPS pöörab erilist tähelepanu kaasaegsele muusikale ning on olnud mitmete kuulsate Tšehhi autorite (nt Zdenek Lukaš, Vadim Petrov, Vladimir Sommer) kooriteoste esmaesitajaks.
The Foerster Female Chamber Choir (FKPS) was founded in 1975 in Prague. Thanks to high standards the leadership had introduced from the very beginning, it soon became one of the leading Czech choirs. The FKPS was awarded for quality of its performance on number of international choral competitions and festivals, e.g. in Arezzo, Cork, Debrecen, Jihlava, Prague, Klaipeda (absolute victory in 2003), Vienna 2006 and Venice 2008 (winner of category and winner of the Grand Prix competition). The choir frequently cooperates with leading Czech artists and represents Czech culture on many prestigious occasions.
The four CDs recorded so far by the FKPS cover only part of its wide repertoire spanning from Renaissance polyphony to music of the 20th century. Special attention of the choir is being paid to contemporary music, therefore works of many famous Czech composers are often presented as premieres (e. g. Zdenek Lukaš, Vadim Petrov, Vladimír Sommer).
Mr. Jan Svejkovský, graduate of violin and conducting from the Prague Conservatory, has recently become the new conductor of the FKPS. Mr. Jan Svejkovský completed his musical education at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 2004.
